The first week of November on Long Island has brought rain and cool weather. There is no longer a need to water. Your soil is very saturated and can supply the necessary amount of water your lawn and landscape require at this time of year. Fortunately, we have not had below freezing weather that could possibly damage your sprinkler system.

I strongly recommend you call now and arrange your appointment or connect with us online at www.rainrich.com or email us at irrigationspecialist@rainrich.com.
Many of our clients and potential clients ask me “how do I know that my sprinkler system is being winterized properly?” I want to assure you that:
1. Our technicians are properly trained and have many years of experience winterizingwinterizing
sprinkler systems. They know sprinkler systems! We know the correct location to
connect and all the different valves to operate.
2. At Rain Rich we have carefully selected and programmed our compressors to deliver the
proper amount of air at the correct pressure. Too big a compressor supplying too much air
at to high a pressure can damage your sprinkler system and or shorten its life.
3. We look for problems! We observe and look for broken pipes, damaged sprinkler heads,
leaky valves and notify you of any issues that should be addressed now or in the spring.
Taking care of little problems now prevents big problems later on.
The bottom line is we are looking out for you and making sure we go above and beyond when
we winterize to see that your sprinkler system is put to sleep in the proper condition. This way in
the spring we can turn your sprinkler system on and perform our normal spring turn on. If you
have not made your appointment then please call today 631-423-2211.
